This year, since we are vegans, we decided to adopt a turkey from Farm Sanctuary. Through their Adopt-A-Turkey Project donations go towards the care of rescued turkeys living at their sanctuary and educating the public about the plight on factory farms.

ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! I'm not a vegetarian, but only eat meat I've sourced as humanely raised, usualy from local farms. Those look like some very happy turkeys!

ReplyDeleteI hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving and thank you all for the greetings! We feel good about adopting the baby turkey and helping in giving her a better life. She was rescued from a farm where she was left to languish in unsafe and unhealthy conditions. She was rescued with another baby turkey and some chickens by the SPCA and brought to farm sanctuary. We feel good knowing we helped in her recovery and she was able to enjoy another "ThanksLiving"!
